SOTIRIOU Stylianos

Dr Stylianos A. Sotiriou graduated from the Political Science Department of the Law School of Aristotle University with a B.Sc. in Political Science, received a Master’s Degree (M.Sc.) in Political Science from the Department of Political Science and Public Administration of the Vrije Universiteit of Amsterdam (holding also the Rutgers Scholarship), and a PhD in Political Science and International Relations from the Department of Balkan, Slavic, and Oriental Studies of the University of Macedonia. He specializes in Politics and International Relations in Eurasia. Since 2013, he has been serving as a Lecturer at the University of Macedonia (2013-2019), as an Adjunct Professor at the International Hellenic University (2014-2017), and as a Research Fellow at the University of Luxembourg (2019-2020) and at the Turkish and Eurasian Studies Lab at the University of Piraeus (2017- ). He is author of the books: Russian Energy Strategy in the European Union, the Former Soviet Union Region, and China (Rowman & Littlefield: Lexington Books, 2015), and Politics and International Relations in Eurasia (Rowman & Littlefield: Lexington Books, 2019). His work appears, inter alia, in European Security, Eurasian Geography and Economics, Problems of Post-Communism, Mediterranean Politics, Southeast European and Black Sea studies, and Europe-Asia studies.
