Lecture of Professor Flávio Lira at the University of Piraeus

“The Foreign Policy of Brazil: convergence of interests with the Eurasian Powers and the BRICS?”

On February 26, 2025, Professor Flávio Lira (Federal University of Pampas, Brazil) gave a lecture at the University of Piraeus on “Brazil’s Foreign Policy: Convergence of Interests with Eurasian Powers and the BRICS?”.

A constructive discussion with the audience followed, highlighting key aspects of Brazil’s foreign policy towards Eurasian states, particularly Russia. 

Special emphasis was placed on Brazil’s role as a member of the BRICS
and its strategy as an emerging power in the international system.

Within this context, attendees had the opportunity to pose questions and exchange views with the Professor.
