A year after the crucial electoral encounter of June the 7th, the Turkish political system is faced with important internal and external challenges. The June 7th elections have been determinative for the course of the Turkish political system, given the ambitious plans of the country’s leadership.
For the file (in Greek), junior researchers of the Turkish and Eurasian Studies Laboratory (T.E.S. Lab) of the Department of International and European Studies of the University of Piraeus examined crucial aspects of the Turkish political system in the anniversary of the electoral encounter of June the 7th. This attempt to describe and interpret the tendencies of the complex Turkish reality aspires to contribute to the better understanding of the neighboring country in a series of issues, which range from the issue of the freedom of press to the refugee crisis.
